Savage Real Estate & Homes for Sale in Minnesota

Savage is one of those charming communities where country and city coexist to give residents equal tastes of serenity and energy depending on the atmosphere desired. Located on the south bank of the Minnesota River less than 20 miles from Minneapolis, Savage has managed to both grow and maintain its rural feel on the southern edge of a metropolitan area. The city of about 30,000 residents is remarkably spread out and rustic, with sections of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve within its borders. Further cementing its reputation as an ideal spot for residents who love the outdoors is the city's commitment to preserving open space for recreational uses. And there are plenty of options to explore because of the more than 300 acres of park land that is managed and maintained by the city.

With easy access to three major roadways and a recently constructed bridge across the Minnesota River, Savage residents can quickly be off to Minneapolis or St. Paul or to one of many other suburban locales in the region for nightlife, work or play. But recent growth has infused Savage with a number of new dining and shopping options for residents to explore from both quaint and charming to big-box and elegant.

Couples or families new to Savage often comment about the city's perfect blend of community spirit and big-city accessibility. Perhaps that's why Savage and its portion of Scott County continue to grow both with residents and pride.
